This is the "Porch Swing Quilt". It uses a lot of Jo Morton fabrics. The nice thing about this is that I can use one strip of fabric, or a 5" square of a fabric I love, but have very little left of. It was stipple quilted overall and has a very nice "drape". Prairie Point Quilts in Shawnee, KS has the patterns and quilt on display.
:Prairie Meadow on page 74 of the Winter 2013 issue of Primitive Quilts and Projects. The magazine did a fantastic photo of it next to a Christmas tree. I know JoAnn's carries the magazine as well as many local quilt shops. I will post a close up of a quilt I made using my own instructions. I hope many quilters will make their own renditions of this amazing pattern!
It was a long winter, and I have gotten a lot of things completed. These were all worked on the past two years. The doll is a Gail Wilson doll that I made. The needle book was from a Barbara Brackman class.
In the past two years, I have been busy creating quilts and patterns that reflect the past. I am pleased to announce that one quilt is being published by Primitive Quilts and Projects later this year.
Other than that, I work on Jo Morton "Little Women's Club". I will be working on a book of my patterns, soon. I hope you enjoy some photos of larger projects and a baby quilt that I have been working on.
The rail fence quilt ended up 120" x 120" for our king size bed. It is huge!!!
